Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration are both biological processes that produce very important molecule necessary to sustain Life. Photosynthesis generates sugars (in plants) and oxidative phosphorylation make ATP in just about any organism. There are plenty of other molecules that are made and consumed across multiple steps in both processes. From an evolutionary perspective, they are both very tightly regulated processes that in some ways basically "defines" what living things are, in some respect.
