1/6 + 1/7 = 7/42 + 6/42 = 13/42

 

So child c received 29/42 of the total dollar amount, x:

 

(29/42)*x = $23,490

 

x = $23,490*(42/29)

 

x = $34,020

 

Child a received = (1/6)*($34,020) = $_______
