Hi Rashaun: Reading and writing are the very best learning tools! For kids in particular; reading is fun and can be very entertaining. While reading students also learn the best conventions for grammar, vocabulary, proper writing and punctuation conventions. Reading pulls the student into different areas of the world and increases their exposure to different aspects of life. Writing about what they have read reinforces the reading material and has them then practice the vocabulary, the grammar, the punctuation and so forth. Becoming a skilled reader will allow the student to be successful in also any area of study they then decide to focus on. Thanks for writing! Courtney W, MA Education
