Phone Company A charges a monthly fee of $41.10, and $0.02 for each minute of talk time. Phone Company B charges a monthly fee of $25.00, and $0.09 for each minute of talk time. Write and solve a system equation to answer the following questions. These two companies would charge the same amount on a monthly bill when the talk time was?

Phone Company A charges a monthly fee of $41.10, and $0.02 for each minute of talk time

A = (x)(0.02) + 41.10

Phone Company B charges a monthly fee of $25.00, and $0.09 for each minute of talk time

B = (x)(0.09)  + 25.00

When A = B, then, 

(x)(0.02) + 41.10 = (x)(0.09) + 25.00

16.10 = .07x

x = 230 minutes
