A boat, initially traveling at 9.3 m/s away from the shore, needs to come to an abrupt stop to avoid impacting a wave rider that crossed its path. The maximum deceleration rate of the boat is 2.7 m/s2. How long, in seconds, will it take the boat to come to a complete stop?
