x + y = 10
x - y = 2
x = 10 - y (from 1st equation)
Now substitute (10 - y) for x in 2nd equation:
(10 - y) - y = 2
10 -2y = 2
2y = 8
y = 4
x = 10 - 4 = 6
So, x = 6, y = 4
