Hello Juliet,
I think you made a mistake translating the problem into algebra>it says "plus 5" , but you wrote -5. Don't worry, the steps will be the same. The answer, of course, will be different.
I am going to make x/2 into .5x
.5x-5 = 3x-10 Subtract .5x from both sides
-.5x -.5x
-5 = 2.5 x -10 Add 10 to both sides
+10 +10
5= 2.5 x Divide by 2.5 on both sides
2=x
