Let f(x)=2x+1 and g(x)=x-3 find (f-g)(x)

I get that all i need to do is plug both answer in but i am still confused just by looking at it would like step by step help if possible

(f - g)(x) = f(x) - g(x)

 

You have both f(x) and g(x).  Plug them in and simplify.
