Germany and Japan started the war, and Germany and Japan lost the war.  That is about as short as you can get!  If you want details on what happened in between starting and losing the war, you can do online searches and find vast amounts of material on WWII from reputable history websites, or just read about WWII in a general history book that has a chapter or two about WWII.
