This seems like it's simply asking you to come up with an example using the ratio 3 : 5.
If for example, the ratio was 4 : 7, an example in real life could be girls : boys in a group. For every 4 girls, there are 7 boys.
Or maybe you had a ratio of 1 : 18 and you said this represented strawberries : peach slices in a fruit salad. For every 1 strawberry, there are 18 peach slices in the salad.
