Ted, an architect, drew a sketch for remodeling a garage.the total area of the garage is 360 sq ft.if Ted changes the bedroom to 12' by 18' the office to 8' by 14' and the bath to 4' by 8' will the total area of the three rooms equal 360 sq ft?

Mike, how do you find the area?  You have all the information you need. Find the area of the three rooms, add them together, and see if they equal 360.
