How do I use sin, cos, tan, and their inverse functions to find missing values?

I feel rather silly asking this question on here, but I have been looking up videos on how to do the trig functions sin, cos, tan, and their inverse functions and still cannot understand. I was wondering if anyone on here would be able to help better explain it to me?

Missing values of what? One thing to realize is that if cos = adj/hyp and you need sin, you can use the adj and hyp in the Pythagorean theorem to find opp.
