I am a home schooled student and I am trying to teach myself how to solve this problem but I keep coming up with the wrong answer. Any help will be appreciated.

The size of a stray cat population at the bay area of a certain city grows at a rate of 6% monthly. If there are 330
stray cats currently, find how many stray cats should be expected in 21 months. Use P(t)=330e^0.06t, and let t be 21
months.

Are you using a calculator? Remember that the power applied to e, and e only, is 0.06(21).

 

330e^0.06(21) = 1163
