Aidan needs to clean his room, and is arranging the following school books on his bedroom shelf : Math, Science, English, French, and History. If he randomly stands the five books next to each other on the shelf, what is the probability that the History and Science books will be on the two ends

How come the way to put science and history first and last is 3 factorial there is only 2 spots to use for each !! unless you are grouping the rest of the books (in one group or Subset) thus the sample S is 3... is my statement true?
