Can you help me come up with an idea for an imaganitive writing story about doing something without thinking?

I’m doing an English language mock and need to write a creative writing piece about a time I, or someone else, done something without thinking it through.

It sounds like a lot of the point of this assignment is challenging you to use your imagination.  So, it would not be much help to you if I were to give you story ideas, would it?  

 

But think about it this way.  Usually when we do something without thinking it though, we end up with a non-desirable or even a catastrophic result.  

 

Think backwards, through this, then.  What have you done recently that resulted in a non-desirable result?  Or even a catastrophic result.  

 

Once you identify such an event, keep thinking.  Was the reason that things got fouled up that you didn't plan enough?  That you didn't think things through?  Probably so, and there's your story!

A day in November, 2016. It's voting day. Imagine what would happen if millions of citizens went to the polls without sufficient logical thinking about the character and intelligence and stability of a national candidate.
