An effective teacher with a sense of humor!
The wording of this question does not exclude the 90 degree angle from being the "one angle" that is 50 degrees more than the smallest angle. So the one angle could be 90 degrees making the smallest angle 40 degrees and the third angle is 50 degrees!

Since this is a right triangle we know we have a 90o angle.
We also know that the 3 angles of a triangle add to 180o
90 + x + (x+50) = 180
2x + 140 = 180
2x = 40
x = 20
x+50 = 70
The 3 angles are: 20, 70, 90 degrees
