if i used 497 gallons of water but my meter was showing a 81% accuracy, how much did I really use? And how do you get that answer?

I want to be able to calculate how much more in volume an answer would be if I have a percentage below 100% accuracy.

You can set up a simple proportion.

497 gallons equals 81% as x gallons equals 100%

 

497/x = 81/100 or 497/x = 0.81/1.0

x = 497/0.81

x = 613.6 gallons
