Let us represent the two consecutive numbers as
n
n + 1
They must add to 180.
n + (n + 1) = 180
or
2n + 1 = 180
2n = 179
So, n = 179/2 = 89.5
89.5, 90.5
This does not make sense if we are dealing with consecutive integers.
So, you cannot add two consecutive integers and obtain 180.
How about 3 consecutive integers: n, n + 1, n + 2
n + n + 1 + n + 2 = 180
3n + 3 = 180
3n = 177
n = 59
So, 59, 60, and 61 are three consecutive integers that sum to 180.
