Hi Rob! If you have a surface that's 4cm by 8 cm and you're trying to cut circles with a 2cm diameter, you can just divide the width of the tin by 2cm (4cm / 2cm = 2). So you can cut 2 circles across the top. Then you can divide the length of the tin by the diameter of the circles (8cm / 2cm) = 4. Therefore, you have 2 rows of circles across and 4 circles down. That's 8 circles total (4 x 2 = 8) :)
