The discounted price at 25% is $180.00

 

Let DP be the discounted price

Let OP be the original price 

 

DP = OP x ( 100%-25%)= OP(75%)=0.75 OP

 

OP=DP/0.75=$180/0.75=$240

the original price OP is $240

In other words, $180 is 75% (100-25) of the original price.  So 180 = 0.75 x, and x = 240.  The original price was $240.
