Look up the molecular weight of the substance in grams per mole, or compute it by adding the atomic weights, knowing the number of atoms from the chemical formula. Then divide the given mass in grams by the molecular weight in grams per mole. The result will be the number of moles of the substance. Finally, multiply the number of moles by Avogadro's number, which is 6.02 x 1023. That gives the number of molecules of the substance.
