The distributive property is when there is a common factor between all of the numbers.
Take 15. Its factors are 3 and 5, because 3 * 5 = 15
Now for 57:
3 * 19 = 57
15 and 57 both have a 3 in common, so we can factor that out:
3(5 + 19)
And just to show that they end up with the same end result...:
15 + 57 = 72
3(5 + 19) → 3(24) = 72
