Now just solve them

First, divide the 2nd equation by 8 and them multiply it by 5 to give you

40b + 32s = 120

40b + 25s = 75

Subtract the bottom from the top to give you 7s=7; s=1

and then plug s=1 into the top equation to give you 40b+32=82 and, 40b=50 and b=1.25.

The 1 means stickers cost $1 and the 1.25 means balloons cost $1.25.
