what is 0.5 as a whole number?

Well for my question I want to know what is 0.5 as a whole number which one number like 1,2,3,4, and 5.

This is a fatally flawed question, since 0.5 IS NOT a whole number.  A whole number must be an integer, and 0.5 is not an integer.  Where did this question come from?

It might be a rounding question, such as what whole number would 0.5 round to?

Perhaps it is, but then the problem statement should ask for 0.5 rounded to a whole number.  It is a very poorly worded question.
