A. Write an equation to model this.


B. How long before you have as much money as your brother?


C. How much have you saved when you catch up to him?

You have $80, you save $10  for x weeks.

Your brother has $275, he spends $15  (saves -$15) for x weeks.

A. $80+$10x=$275-$15x 

B. Solve for x (weeks)

  25x=150, x=6 In 6 weeks you catch up your brother.

C. You  save $6*10=$60
