We don't all have to be the best at everything.  You can do math; concentrate.  Sometimes after it makes sense, it becomes fun.

 

You want to divide 7 3/4 by 10.  You know the 7 3/4 goes first because it is the thing that is being divided.

7 3/4 ÷ 10      Change both numbers to improper fractions

31/4 ÷ 10/1 =  change to multiplication and invert the second no.

31/4 x 1/10 =   multiply numerators, multiply denominators

31/40  That is the number of lbs. each person gets.
