Well, the 42 have to be divided into six parts (5 + 1), assuming no biscuit is cut in half or anything....One child will get 5/6 of the biscuits (35) while the other will get the remaining 7. Of course, as the Q is worded it's not clear that the ratio of 5:1 HAS to apply to Gemma and Zak RESPECTIVELY. And you know what a biscuit hog Zak can be.
