Well, it's probably a different form than you are used to, but it is a substitution problem.
a = 5b + 3 a= 15
15 = 5b + 3 does that look familiar? You can switch sides if it makes it easier.
5b + 3 = 15 Subtract 3 from both sides.
5b = 12
You can take it from here. In general, if you can't see your way to the end, start with what you can do and see where it leads you.
