How do I set the amplfier for metal distortion??

Question

The amplifier is a Davis G-10 (at least that is what is written on it).The amp only has switch for "treble" and "bass". The electric guitar also has some switch for the tone. I'm just not sure which one. The guitar and amp are both Davis brand. How do I set it so I can get some metal distortion??

If those are the only controls it has, you won't be able to get much in the way of distortion.

 

If you have a spare 50 bucks, you can buy a cheap pedal which might fill the bill for now.

 

But honestly, at this stage, concentrate on your playing technique more than exact sound. All the knobs and switches in the world can't make up for serious practice time.
