A line segment has a midpoint of (3, 7/2). If one endpoint is (6,3), what is the other end point?

Using the midpoint formula:

 

Midpoint = ( (x₁ + x₂)/2 , (y₁ + y₂)/2 ) = ( 2 , 7/2 )

Endpoint #1 = ( x₁ , y₁ ) = ( 6 , 3 )

Endpoint #2 = ( x₂ , y₂ )

 

Plug in the values for Endpoint #1 into the midpoint formula, then solve for x₂ and y₂ to get the other endpoint.
