What are powers of two?

im doing homework and it says:

Write each of the following as a power of two. Your answer should be in the form of 2 raised to a power. What does this mean?

Answer 1

It means you need to express your answer as 2ⁿ where n is an integer.  For example, suppose you work a problem and the answer is 8.  You write the answer as

 

8 = 2³.
