A better method: if you get 25% discount, you only pay 75% of list price, so just calculate 0.75(210).

 

This avoids subtraction.  Then, of course, in the real world, there's Sales tax to pay.

Multiply 210 by .25 , Then take 210 and subtract that number = $157.50

 

I did it quick in my head. If it was 200 it is easy (150) since 25% of 100 of course is 25....Then, since there is just $10 passed the 200 mark that is easy, like counting quarters If it were 25% off $10 it is $7.50 so I added 7.50 and 150 in my head within about 2 seconds of reading the question.
