A famous basketball player scored 110 points in a high school game, breaking a national record. She made 47 more 2-point baskets than 3-point baskets, and only 1 free throw. How many 2-point and 3-point baskets did she make?

Let x + 47 = the number of 2-point baskets made

3x + 2(x + 47) + 1 = 110

3x + 2x + 94 + 1 = 110

5x + 95 = 110

5x = 15

x + 47 = 3 + 47 = 50
