x, x+2, and x+4 are the numbers where x=odd integer
x+(x+2)+(x+4)=51
3x+6=51
3x=51-6
3x=45
x=45/3
x=15, x+2=17, x+4=19
also you can do the following...
51/3=17, 17-2=15 and 17+2=19

Consecutive odd numbers are separated by 2:
1, 3, 5, ...
3 = 1 + 2
5 = 3 + 2
7 = 5 + 2
etc.
The solutions provided by both tutors are correct, and can be tested easily.
