I have two question that I have worked out over and over again and when I check it I am not correct so I wish that you could help work these out step by step for me.

 

1. 10-d=19

2.6q - 4=- 16

10 - d = 19

10 = 19 + d  add d to both sides

-9 = d           subtract 19 from both sides

 

6q - 4 = - 16

6q = -12      add 4 to both sides

q = -2          divide both sides by 6
