Let x = the numerator

Let 3x + 4 = the denominator

     x      = 1

3x + 4      5         Cross multiply.

 

5x =3x + 4

2x = 4

x = 2

3x + 4 = 3(2) + 4 = 10

 

The fraction is 2/10
