The second term of this recursive sequence is
f(2) = 2f(2 - 1) + 4
f(2) = 2f(1) + 4
Generally, you multiply the first term by 2, then add 4 to get your second term.


To find what number is f(2), you need to know f(1)--then you apply the recursive formula, as Michael J. Says.
Without knowing the starter value,i.e. what f(1) is, you cannot compute f(2).
