So if a number is beside a paranthenthesis you have multiply each number inside there by the number outside in this case it's a -7. So -7*-3 is 21 because negative and negative multiplying turns into a positive. Then you do -7*-6v, you will get 42v.
After doing that you will be left with -3+21+42v. You can add -3 and 21, and you will get 18.
So now you are left with 18+42v, but since that 42 has a v beside it you can't add it to 18.
think of it as v being the last name of that number, you can't add with 18 because they are not the same family.
Final Answer: 18+42v
