The manufacturer says that the pool holds 14040 gallons of water when filled to capacity. The Smiths use a hose that has a flow rate of 72 quarts per minute. How long will it take to fill the pool? Mr. Smith checked on the pool when he expected it to be half full, but he found that it was only 3/8 full. He found a leak near the bottom of the pool and realized it had been leaking from the very beginning. At what rate was the water leaking from the pool?

14040 gallons / 18 gallons per minute = 780 min = 13 hours
