He designed buildings, bridges, and canals and invented machinery, weapons, flying machines, tanks (military tanks), submarines, and others. He dissected dead bodies and drew the anatomy in great detail, giving the world a much better understanding of the human and animal bodies and their respective anatomy and physiology.

Italy is considered the first country to have experienced the Renaissance, beginning in the 14th century. Leonardo da Vinci lived from 1452 - 1519.
