therefore you can operate algebraically on ALL three parts in such a way as to isolate x there.

first add 6 to all three expressions in the compound inequality, getting 7≤7x<13

next, divide all three parts by positive 7.

Therefore 1 ≤x≤13/7; interval notation : [1, 13/7]
