The entire box makes 3 servings. He eats 1/3 of that for 3 days, and it is consumed. If he wants it to last 6 days, which is twice as long as 3 days, he should eat half as much for 6 days as he eats for 3 days. In the problem statement, you say that 1+1/3 cups = 300 calories, but you give no information relating cups to total amount in the box, or calories to total amount in the box. We need that information to answer the question.
Tell us how many cups are in the box, or tell us how many calories there are in 1 serving, and we can answer the question.

OK. The entire box has 3(1 + 1/3) cups = 3(4/3) cups = 4 cups. He wants 4 cups to last for 6 days, so each day he should eat no more than 4/6 = 2/3 of a cup. This is the same as half of (1 + 1/3) cups = (1/2)(4/3) cups = 2/3 cups.
3/4 cups > 2/3 cups. He will be consuming too much each day, and it will not last.

THANK YOU SO MUCH Arturo!,
I was wondering why cross multiplying was giving me weird numbers, but the approach you showed me makes more sense then the what I was doing. I was lost doing cross mutinying! Thanks again!
