At a preview of a movie, 6 people out of 500 walk out. Suppose 600,000 people see the movie. Estimate the number of people who walk out

Just use the same proportion when 6 out of 500 walked out.

 

6/500 = x/600,000

 

x = 600,000 (6/500) = 7200
