Well if you're using the same kind of keyboard format as my laptop where the equals to (=) and addition (+) signs are toggled by the same key, the equation would then have to be;
(x-5)/(-2) = (x+1)/(-3)
we'd cross multiply
(x-5)(-3) = (x+1)(-2)
(-3x + 15) = (-2x - 2)
Now collecting like terms
(-3x + 2x) = (-2 -15)
(-x) = -17
Divide both sides by -1
(-x)/-1 = -17/-1
x = 17
I'm guessing the equation is (since it's the only thing that seems to make sense):
(x-5)/(-2) = (x-1)/(-3)
(-x/2) + (5/2) = (-x/3) + (1/3)
(5/2) - (1/3) = (-x/3) + (x/2)
13/6 = x/6
13 = x
