What is the approximate solution of 7^x=3^x+1?

I've tried to use log(10) to bring the exponents to the front but I keep ending up canceling out my variables.

How did you go from (x)(log(7))=(x+1)(log(3)) to -log(3)/(log(3)-log(7))?

Rearranging gives
X(log(7)-log(3))=log(3) next solve for x
x=-log(3)/(log(3)-log(7))
Is it clear now? If not let me know.
