The formula for the volume of a prism is: V= (Area Base)(height). There are different types of prisms with different types of bases. For example, a cube has a square as its base, with Areabase=s2 so the volume of a cube is V=(s2)(height). For a rectangular prism, the volume formula is V=[(length)(width)](height).
