Let's begin with a correction: the verb in question is TO BREATHE; one instance of doing so is the noun BREATH.

 

12 times per minute; 60 minutes per hour; 24 hours per day; multiplying all of these gives some number of breaths per day.  I'm going to call it B (you can calculate it).
