Simplify::

1) Sinx tan2x - sinx / cosxtanx+cosx 
 
2) cos2x tanx cscx / 1-sin2x

:) Dear Meg, With this type of parentheses use, you might have put parentheses around 1, too. It looks like you put parentheses around every term.
 
We need parentheses to understand the order of operations or which expression will be dealt with in what order. For example, if you have an expression in the numerator in the original question and another one in the denominator, you should put them in parentheses.
