You didn't tell us what f(x) and g(x) are, so I can't solve your exact problem. But I can show you how to do it using a different f(x) and g(x):
Let f(x) = 2x - 6 and g(x) = x2 + 1
The notation f(0) means f(x=0). Set x = 0 in the equation and solve:
f(x) = 2x - 6
f(0) = 2(0) - 6 = 0 - 6 = -6
Similarly, g(-1) means g(x=-1). Set x = -1 in the g(x) equation and solve:
g(x) = x2 + 1
g(-1) = (-1)2 + 1 = 1 + 1 = 2
2g(-1) means multiply g(-1) by 2:
2g(-1) = 2(2) = 4
Now put it all together:
2g(-1) + f(0) = 4 - 6 = -2
Use the same technique for the actual f(x) and g(x) in your problem.
