People began to work more in factories and urban areas, rather than farmlands. The work was done more efficiently using machines operated by one person, rather than doing everything collectively by hand. There was also the establishment of workers rights, compensation, and unions. Above all, it created jobs. They worked for pay, rather working to maintain their property.
